Your beard is the best I've seen....great job! I am trying to grow mine out...haven't went more than 2 weeks without trimming...but I am in for the long hall. I want to see how mine looks after about 3 months.

Honestly, whenever you do look for a new job, your beard is more than thick enough so that if you do have to trim it back, a short full beard would look very, very professional on you.

Thanks man. It is cool to see you are going for a longer beard yourself. My gallery picture is from about a year ago when I was around 8 or 9 months of growth and was forced to shave shortly thereafter. Since then, I have been able to start over and am at close to 10 1/2 months of accumulated growth. My profile picture is from about two or three months ago. Once I find the time to take some current pics, I will post them here. I am trying to hold out for a "year beard", but I am going to have to find another job soon, so I there is a chance I will have cut things back or shave completely.

The board is an interesting place. There are lots of younger folks here who have the same insecurities I had when I first started sporting beards in my early twenties. I used to keep things fairly well trimmed, sometimes carved, experimenting with various configurations, rarely surpassing the three-month mark. So I guess I can offer advice to novice growers since I have had the same experiences with immature coverage, the negative comments from friends and family, etc.

These days, I guess I am mostly interested in letting nature take its course, curious to see how my beard will turn out when left to wander on its own for long periods of time. Now when hit the three-month mark of a new regrowth cycle, I feel relieved just to be back at a decent baseline. I just do not feel like me with anything less. It is weird how our commitment to growing beards for any length of time can have such a strong impact on the way we see ourselves.

Anyway, I hope that you continue to venture into fuller/longer beard territory. You have achieved a lot already and definitely have awesome potential to take things even further.

I look forward to your updates.
